The Roland VC-100UHD 4K Video Scaler/Converter/Streamer is a powerful A/V signal management solution for live events, fixed installations, and livestreaming. Reference in and out ports allow you to incorporate the VC-100UHD into your existing facility's infrastructure, or you can take it with you on location. This compact and flexible half-rack unit features Roland's Ultra Scaler, allowing the VC-100UHD to simultaneously scale, convert, and stream your video to multiple destinations over SDI and HDMI as well as supporting USB livestreams. It supports 10-bit 4:4:4 video signals, that conform to REC. 601, 709, and 2020 color gamut. It also supports native DCI 4K signals as well as UHD and 1080p, and it can handle higher frame rate video in 1080p up to 240 fps over its HDMI input.

The scaler supports de-embedded audio from the video signal, providing separate audio processing, and it supports balanced audio input/output via a 25-pin connector or line in/out audio via RCA pairs. You can route up to 16 channels or input audio, and the unit supports 8-channels of audio output, with each audio input having its own delay adjustment. The unit has built-in video test patterns as well as audio test tones for calibrating your other equipment, and it can be rack mounted as well.

Simultaneous Delivery to Multiple Displays

The VC-100UHD simplifies sending 4K and 1080p video to multiple destinations at one time. This includes LED walls, tech operator displays and recorders, and USB webcam streams for online viewing.

Ultra Scaler

Built into the VC-100UHD is Roland's Ultra Scaler, which is the same professional video processor found in the Roland V-600UHD 4K video switcher. The Ultra Scaler delivers premium-quality conversion for perfectly synchronized big-screen IMAG and precise dot-by-dot scaling for LED wall displays.

Visual Effects and Image Processing

Using the VC-100UHD's built-in visual effects, it's simple to rotate, flip, and mirror images. In addition, the VC-100UHD's Frame Synchronizer and Genlock allow you to re-clock and stabilize video images as needed.

USB 3.0 Webcam Output

The USB 3.0 webcam output takes advantage of the latest USB audio/video protocols to provide you with plug-and-play operation for streaming. Roland's free VR Capture software enables recording your HD livestreams in ProRes 422 (Mac) or MP4 (Windows) formats for postproduction editing and distribution.

Audio

The VC-100UHD can process embedded digital audio from the 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 inputs. Analog I/O is provided with balanced audio on a 25-pin D-sub connector, and it also supports line-level stereo audio on RCA jacks for prosumer video gear. An advanced audio patching system lets you route and embed/de-embed up to 16 input channels and output up to eight channels. Need to adjust lip sync? Just tweak the delay that's available on each audio output.
