1.0 Introduction
1.1. What these terms cover. These are the terms and conditions to Henry's Cameras Trade-in Program (“Trade-in Program”), which allows you to trade in your used camera equipment for store credit toward new purchases.
1.2. Please read these terms carefully before participating in the Program. By submitting your equipment for trade-in, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2.0 How the Program Works
2.1 Program Overview
When you trade in your old camera or lens, we'll assess its value and provide store credit that you can use for purchase in our webstore. The process is simple:
- Get an online quote
- Mail-In your equipment
- Receive store credit after assessment
- Use your credit for new gear
2.2 Who Can Participate
To participate in the Program, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old (or have parent/guardian consent)
- Own the equipment you're trading in
- Have valid government-issued ID
2.3. The offer to take part in the Trade-in Program is available to individual consumers only; it is not available to business/corporate customers.
2.4 Please note that in order to take part in the Trade-in Program, you must have a valid Henry's Cameras account and provide the necessary information ie. Full Name, Full and Correct Shipping Address and a Valid Mobile Number.
3.0 What We Accept
3.1 The list of acceptable devices is as listed in the trade-in page of the website. The level of discount which you may receive will vary, dependent on the model of the device you trade in and the condition of your device. The offer is limited to two devices per offer.
3.2. Henry's Cameras will require proof of ownership from the customer: the original receipt or proof of purchase from the store or brand must be included during trade-in declaration. If the receipt is missing, a signed sworn statement of ownership (with valid government ID attached) must be provided.
3.3. Please note that the option to receive the initial offer value is only available if your Existing Device meets the requirements set out below (“Minimum Requirements”). Please note that if you are trading in a broken or faulty Existing Device the terms of clause apply instead of these Minimum Requirements.
Minimum Requirements
The Existing Device must be owned by you, must match the make, model, and condition you declared prior to order checkout, and must also meet the following functionality criteria:
- It must power on/up and hold charge
- It must be fully functional and must have no software or hardware faults
- It must only have normal wear and tear - there must be no damage or blemishes to screen/LCD and the casing around the device including the camera lens must not be cracked or with fungus.
- It must have a fully functioning display and have no cracked screen, no dead pixel
- It must have no signs of screen burn, ghost imaging, discoloration, colored hues or image retention
- It must include its battery within the casing and must not have any missing parts
- It must not have been stolen, or acquired/derived from the proceeds of, or through any criminal activity such as robbery, theft, and other similar illegal circumstances
- It must be original and meet the manufacturer’s original specifications (and is not personalized with any custom engraving). For example, the entire color of the device must match the original manufacturer’s
3.4 Please note that we do not accept defective Existing Devices where:
- It cannot be powered on/up or hold charge
- It is deemed not original and does not meet the manufacturer’s original specifications. For example, if the entire color of the device does not match the original manufacturer’s specification.
- Device touch screen is not working (cracked/scratched screen is accepted as long as it still functioning).
4.0 The Trade-In Process
4.1 You may choose the device you wish to trade-in among the accepted devices displayed in our trade-in page. You must completely and accurately input information about you and your Existing Device, as this will be subject for assessment by our assigned team. Based on the condition of your Existing Device, you will be provided with the initial trade-in value that will be converted to store-credit which you will use as a discount from the price of the New Device purchase. If you are successful in completing the trade-in offer process at our trade-in page, you will be able to take part in the Trade-in Program.
4.2 Your participation in the Trade-in Program is subject to you providing the Existing Device to us by mailing-in or sending your existing device to the address provided in the confirmation email once your offer application has been accepted. Send in your device within 7 business days or the offer will expire and you will need to resubmit the offer. Offer price may change upon resubmission. Please ensure that you back up any photos, files and other data which you have stored on the Existing Device and have removed any memory cards before sending over the Existing Device. On receipt of the Existing Device, all data stored on it will be securely wiped. We are not able to recover any data stored on an Existing Device which has been provided to us.
4.3. Our trade-in team will re-assess the actual condition and details of the Existing Device based on your initial declaration. Our team will either confirm the final trade-in value to be the same as the initial trade-in value, or provide a different final trade-in value based on the actual condition of the Existing Device. Please note that we inspect all Existing Devices that are provided as part of the Trade-in Program. If the Existing Device which you are proposing to trade-in does not meet the Minimum Requirements (or the present condition does not match the Existing Device information you declared prior to order check-out), we will will provide a final trade-in value based on the reassessment of the actual Existing Device.
4.4. Should your Existing Device not meet the requirements or where you are trading in a defective Existing Device, offer value may decrease or offer will be cancelled and you will be asked to pick up your device .
4.5 Should the final trade-in value prove lower than the original, you are given the option to accept the new trade-in value offer or reject the new trade-in value offer.
4.6 Should you reject the new offer value, your offer will be scheduled for return. Once you have rejected and receive the confirmation email of rejection/return, please schedule a pick up of your item in the address provided on the email within 7 business days or the device will be subject for disposal.
4.7 For new trade-in offer value acceptance or no change in the initial offer, your trade-in offer status will be changed to completed and an email with your store credit will be sent to you. Store credit is for use at Henry's Cameras website valid for 7 days from date of issuance.
4.8 We will reject any trade-in applications wherein the provided information is deemed incomplete and/or misleading. (ie. made-up address, non-existent email, fake mobile number, etc)
4.9. If the trade-in proceed after reassessment though your acceptance of the new offer, we will proceed with the issuance of your store credit voucher via email.
4.10 Henry's Cameras reserves the right to block any future trade-in offers from customers who submits bogus and scam trade-in offers or who abuses the trade-in program.
4.11 Henry's Cameras will not process any equipment or device sent without proper completion of online trade-in application and without our notification to mail-in the device. Device sent without following the proper procedure will be returned at your own expense and will be subject to storage fee of ₱100/day after 10 days. We will dispose of any unclaimed devices after 7 days.
5.0 Use of Store Credit
5.1 All trade-in values are provided as store-credit voucher to be used at Henry's Cameras Web store.
5.2 The store credit voucher is valid for 7 days from date of issuance.
5.3 Store Credit Voucher can be used for purchase of cameras and lenses which are on regular price. Clearance items / flush out items cannot be availed with the store credit voucher.
5.4. Store credit voucher cannot be converted to cash.
5.5 The store credit voucher must be used in a single transaction, no balance will be saved or carried over if the value of the ordered item is below the store credit voucher amount.
6.0 Your rights
6.1 Entering into the Trade-in Program does not prevent you from exercising your rights to cancel your offer prior to completion of the trade-in process.
6.2 Taking part in the Trade-in Program does not affect any statutory rights you may have, including your rights under the Consumer Act of the Philippines.
7.0 Limitations of Liability
7.1 We are not responsible for indirect damages or lost of profits.
7.2 We are not liable for data loss or personal items left in the device/s.
8.0 How we may use your personal information
8.1 How we will use your personal information. We will use the personal information you provide to us in accordance with the terms of our privacy policy, which can be found here: Data Privacy
If you wish to withdraw your consent to us processing your personal data, please send an email to sales@henryscameraphoto.com with the subject: Trade-In Account Withdrawal. We can only withdraw your consent once you have picked up your item and offer has been fully cancelled. We will not accommodate withdrawal with an existing ongoing offer.
8.4 We will only give your personal information to other third parties where the law either requires or allows us to do so.
9.0 Other important terms
9.1 This contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.
9.2 To be eligible to participate in the Trade-in Program, you must be a Philippine resident aged 18+ (or have obtained your parent or guardian’s consent to the relevant sale for the relevant sum).
9.3 If a court finds part of this contract illegal, the rest will continue in force. Each of the paragraphs of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
9.4 Which laws apply to this contract and where you may bring legal proceedings. These terms are governed by Philippine laws and any dispute, controversy or claim shall be settled by courts in Manila City, Philippines.
10.0 Program Changes
10.1 We may change or stop the program at any time we deemed necessary.
10.2 We may adjust eligible/acceptable items at any time.
11.0 Acceptance of Terms
By participating in our Trade-In Program, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms and conditions.

LEGAL DISCLAIMER AND INDEMNIFICATION:
The Trade-in Program shall be subject to our continuous adherence to any applicable law, rules and regulations.
Your surrendering of your Existing Device shall always be subject to our Right to verify ownership of your Existing Device, such as but not limited to, asking for documentary proof that you have legal ownership or possession of the Existing Device. You, as the declared lawful owner of the Existing Device, shall hereby indemnify and hold harmless Samsung, its affiliates, officers, employees, authorized personnel or contractors from any and all claims, including legal implications or liabilities, arising from your breach of this terms and any form of untruthful statement or misdeclaration of such fact pursuant hereunder.
Upon discovery that you have breached or misdeclared ownership or lawful possession of the Existing Device, we reserve the right at any time to withhold, suspend or terminate the Trade-In Program against your account, without prejudice to any and all rights or remedies available to us and/or actions as warranted by applicable laws.
